PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
Infotiv, as a part of research project ArtWork (The smart and connected worker) is interested in investigating the use of simulation and digital twins of factory workers, equipment, and tools. The goal is to enable quick prototyping and testing of machine learning models used to monitor and control agents in such environments.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of using simulation for:
- Localization and monitoring of agents, (factory worker, equipment and tools)
- Developing machine learning model to monitor and control object and agents and their pose
- Verification and validation of the existing ML models
Potential research questions:
- Verification and validation of complex machine learning based model in simulator
- Human pose estimation using ML
- Multi-Camera localization, tracking and mapping
- Multi-agent Indoor navigation

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for 2 master students with a background in mechatronics, computer science/engineering or equivalent program, who wish to conduct their thesis during the spring of 2025. Applicants shall be interestedin software developmentand computer visionand have experience of programming in languages such as C++or Python. It is meritorious to have previous experience from or knowledge ofMachine learning, ROS2, Nav2, Gazebo simulator,Git, Continuous Integration, Delivery or Deployment, Jenkins, Test Automation.
