We’re looking for a service-minded Linux-admin-, networking- and coding savvy member to join our tech and customer support team. In short: a DevOps support engineer! Experience with server administration (web/DNS or email) and also coding/scripting is a must, since our server software is scriptable and is usually installed in complex Linux environments. If you’re more fond of Perl, Python, PHP or JS doesn’t really matter. Prior knowledge of internet protocols such as SMTP/DNS protocol are highly meritorious, however just a solid basic knowledge in TCP/IP and being comfortable around networking, could also be ideal. Your principal tasks will include:
- Assist in onboarding customers with help during installations and evaluations, that includes
- Building integrations and services (often REST API)
- Answer customer support questions through our ticketing system and email
- Maintain technical documentation and KB articles
- Building and maintaining internal and external projects and services
This opening offers many exciting tasks and the possibility for a fast learning and development track. We do not require prior knowledge of the email domain. However any prior knowledge in mentioned and related technologies will help to get you up to speed.
Other technical tasks may include working with containers (Docker), CentOS/Ubuntu, Chef/Puppet/Ansible, Git, YAML/JSON, REST, node.js, Elasticsearch/Kibana or various storage solutions.About you
You have a strong technical background in computers, programming, Linux or alike. It may come from an educational background, work experience or just pure interest and curiosity. You are not afraid of diving deep into the technical domain of email and become an expert over time. You are service oriented, analytical, a fast learner and strive for highest possible quality in your deliverables. You have a forward and solution oriented attitude yet with attention to the important details. Moreover, you are a good listener and used to working in a team. This will be very important to your success since the majority of the tasks are performed in close co-operation with customers and colleagues alike.
