As an independent PortCo with its own board and management structure, Orkla Snacks is evolving. Our future organization will focus on three categories: Confectionery, Snacks, and Biscuits. This structure aims to enhance cost efficiency, harmonization, and investment in our brands, factories, and expertise.
The Senior S&OP and Project Manager (OCS) is a newly established role, which is an integral part of the company's business strategy and operations. The role will govern and lead the monthly S&OP process including continues improvement of the same. Identify, lead and build initiative from the strategic roadmap for Planning & Logistics as well as continuously improve and update the roadmap.
The position will be responsible for building, implementing and improving a common OCS S&OP-process, collaborating with different stakeholders through the company.
The position will also lead and actively participate in Projects within Strategic Development, S&OP, CAPEX & Master Plans for warehouses, Continuous improvements and implementation of processes, tools and techniques. The role will work closely with the other Planning and Logistics functions, and other key stakeholders from Commercial and Supply Chain, to ensure that the development are in line with Orkla Confectionery & Snacks’ (OCS) strategic plans. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of both strategic and operational Planning & Logistics processes, deeply analytical skills, excellent project leadership and communication skills, and a keen eye for details.
The role will report to Head of Planning and Logistics Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and improve the OCS S&OP-process
- Own and drive the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring cross-functional alignment between demand, supply, and business objectives
- In adherence with Planning and Logistics Strategies, organize and steer execution of improvement projects and secure needed expertise and skills to realize target potential
- Be a consolidating force and topic expert in end-to-end Planning & Logistics e.g., Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, S&OP, Distribution
- Deliver larger efficiency and improvement programs within Planning & Logistics. Responsible to deliver targeted impact on time in projects according to set plan
- Be responsible for stakeholder management and involve COO or other support when needed
- Identify potential value creating projects to include in short- and long-term strategy and project plan
- Lead and motivate a team of resources both in and outside projects
- Ensure to run projects according to project quadrant (Time, Cost, Quality, Delivery).
- Educate Planning & Logistics resources in their roles in projects.
- Prepare and present reports, and presentations, with recommendations to management.
- Maintenance and development of tools & methods
Candidate Profile
We believe our senior team members to have the ability to motivate for a collaborative, goal-driven team environment to achieve results and navigate change. The ideal candidate should possess:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project management within Supply Chain, coupled with strong experience of leading projects, teams or transformation programs where stakeholder management was a clear component
- The role requires deep knowledge within S&OP & experience from driving a transformation within S&OP, with management of teams & stakeholders
- Deep expertise in a minimum one of the following Supply Chain areas & ability to drive projects in most of the others: Logistics, Planning, S&OP, Controlling, Logistic Networks, Digitalization & Technology development.
- The candidate must have extensive experience in leading Improvement programs, including defining processes and structure for Project Management.
- The candidate should have good communication skills and the knowledge to make presentations and reports for management.
- Knowledge within S&OP & IBP, & experience of improving such processes is a big advantage
- The candidate should have knowledge in Office package, ERP systems, and/or Supply Chain tools and systems.
- Experience in a multinational environment and/or matrix responsibilities is an advantage
